Framework of Mentorship
Mentoring centers on the creation of a safe and healthy relationship between a mentor and mentee.
Our mentoring framework identifies 4 critical stages every mentor and mentee goes through
Connect
Our first mentoring stage helps mentors and mentees build trust, consistency, and reliability while creating a strong relationship. By the end of this stage, both feel comfortable, connected, and confident communicating with each other.
Level
In the second mentoring stage, we reduce power differences between mentors and mentees, creating a mutual and collaborative relationship where both actively contribute, share experiences, communicate openly, and learn from each other throughout the mentoring journey.
Empower
In this stage, mentees focus on key areas of their lives they want to strengthen through mentoring and personal development. Mentors and mentees practice essential life skills together, helping mentees build confidence and achieve their goals.
Evolve
In this final mentoring stage, mentees focus on future goals and life choices, while mentors support effective decision-making. Together, mentors and mentees reflect on their mentoring journey, personal growth, achievements, and plan the next steps toward a successful future.
